Setting off from Antony, we travelled by the TGV to Strasbourg, where we had a few days with aunty, uncle, and cousins, then drive to EuroAirport, Basel, for the EasyJet flight to Marrakech, Morocco.
Our first day was in the great Riad Ifoulki, then our hire car arrived, a Peugeot 206, with just 7,000 km on the clock, and we set off on a total 1,324 km trek. First south-west to Ouarzazate, then further south to Zagora, getting as far south as the SaharaSky Hotel/Observatory. Then back to Ouarzazate, and west to Agadir, and finally back to Marrakech, for the flight back.
Then a few days in Waldenheim, before taking the TGV back to Paris, and ultimately Antony.
I tried many javascript and an Adobe flash slide shows, and eventually decided on these. Note, they are BEST viewed in FULLSCREEN mode (F11 key in IE), using a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels :-
Be patient to get the automatic change working, but all slides can be viewed ;=)) | ||

Since there are over 400 images, presented in multiple sizes, I have split them into four(4) pages, each page with about 100 slides, to try not to overload the browser and provided multiple choice of sets of pages, depending on the speed of your internet download, and your screen size.
The four pages in each set contain the following images. Of course, each page has a link to the next, and each image a link to the full image, so clicking an image will open the full size image in a new browser page.
images | description |
---|---|
1 to 100 | Paris, Neudorf, Waltenheim-sur-Zorn, EuroAirport, Flight South, Marrakech, Road to Ouarzazate, Ouarzazate (242-347) |

Choose the appropriate table set below
Set 1: For relative fast internet connections. | ||||
Good size - Images are generally 800x600, averaging 180KB each. | ||||
|
||||
Set 2: For dial-up type internet connections, and/or small screens. | ||||
If the above stalled, then try these - Images are generally 600x450, averaging 100KB each. But you can still view any individual image in its full size by clicking on the image. | ||||
|
||||
Set 3: Full Size Set | ||||
Warning: These may 'stall' in some browsers - Images are 1600x1200, averaging 800KB each | ||||
|
||||
Set 4: Full Set in ONE page. | ||||
For the very 'brave', or perhaps 'foolhardy' ;=)) Full Size in ONE page - warning will 'stall' in MOST browsers, and machines! - There are 438 images, most are 1600x1200 pixels, averaging 800KB each displayed at native size - that is over 350 MB - You may have to wait a LONG TIME, or even RE-BOOT your machine to get out of this - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!
This STALLS in IE7 in my fastest, best machine, 8 Mega capable ;=(( It seems IE only loads about 200 or so images, and then 'stalls' the machine! If you really want to see all images in ONE page, then this is a page of thumbs!
But a click on any thumb image will load the full sized (1600x1200) photo. |
